Product Overview

Are you running a Blackmax or similar all black ink system? These cartridges  are completely compatible with your Blackmax system. There is no need to flush your system. Our dye black ink is specially formulated to block out the UV light spectrum from your exposure unit giving you sharper halftone dots and detail in your screens. You can use these cartridges to replace your pigment ink as a single cartridge solution or if you're using AccuRIP you can choose to run a multi-black system. AccuRIP will pull an equal amount of ink from each black cartridge. As an added bonus we sell individual cartridges as well as in a complete set. Works with both waterproof and non-waterproof film.

This ink is optimized for film printing and has the following characteristics:

  • Maximum Dmax density for holding halftone dots and small detail.
  • Works with all types of exposure units and emulsions. Ideal for fast burning LED exposure units.
  • Fast drying and scratch resistant on waterproof media.
  • Manufactured in the USA

Available for:

  • Epson 4900

 What comes in the box?

  • 11 x 200 ml single use cartridges with our UV blocking dye black ink (1 x cartridge for each color slot)

Epson, Blackmax and Accurip are trademarks of their respective companies are not affiliated with Film Direct. This product is not manufactured by Epson or Blackmax.

    Ink worked great

Posted by William R Banks on 2nd Nov 2020

The cartridges worked exactly as advertised. We even think the that black is coming out cleaner and more solid than our old BlackMax ink.
