We've just received and setup our first Epson 4900 for film output. This is by far the best Epson yet for film output. It's fast and prints extremely clean. And we're happy to report that we're the first on the scene with aftermarket cartridges and dye black ink!!

Epson 4900 17" Film Output Solution.

Our Epson 4900 17" film output system coupled with Accurip is ideal for small  to large shops.  Fast and efficient the 4900's abilty to print and cut roll film will save you time and money by only printing to your documnet size. Thus eliminating wasted film and the need to change sheet sizes when going from different size designs.

We're proud to annouce that we're the first on the market to develop a multi-dye black ink alternative to Epson ink. The oem Epson ink is a translucent pigment ink that doesn't work well for film output. After extensive testing we've found that when using 2 dye black cartridges along with Accurip will give you the ideal balance of speed and ink saturation. The other reamining 9 cartridges are filled with a head cleaning / line flush solution. This soultion keeps the printer fuctioning properly, and since there is no dye particles in the solution there is nothing to clog the head. If you decided later on to add an additional black or turn the printer into a color printer you'll easliy be able to flush the line and replace it with your ink choice. At this time the cartridges are a one time use chip set. We're working on a resettable chip set. It should be availble in the near future.

FD Black Dye Ink

Our system comes by default with 2 cartridges of dye black ink and 9 cartridges of head cleaner / line flush. We've tested many different configurations of ink cartridges with Accurip. We've found that two cartridges seams to strike the perfect balance of speed and ink saturation. The other 9 cartidges will be filled with a head cleaning / line flush solution. This solution will keep the head from getting clogged and allow for the printer to be returned to it's original configuration of colored ink if you have the need or desire. (colored ink cartridges not included).Please note that if you desire to run more than the two black cartridges that come with the kit, just let us know we'll be happy to configure it up to 11 black cartridges for an additional charge.

FD Dye Black

Our custom dye ink is the best ink on the market for film output on inkjet printers. It's specifically designed to be fast drying, scratch and fade resistant. It works with both water proof and non-water proof media.

Our dye ink not only has superior UV blocking characteristics to standard pigment inks, our bulk system dye ink is also a lot cheaper than standard inkjet cartridges.

FD Waterproof Film

 It has never been easier or more affordable to produce quality film positives from an inkjet printer.
Our FD film is a direct positive waterproof film with quick drying capability. FD film meets the most demanding requirements of screen printers who are interested in using their inkjet's for imaging color separations. With a thickness of 4 mils and a micro-porous coating technology that controls dot gain, UV characteristics, and drying, FD Film is perfect for color separations. Manufactured for use with piezo printers, FD Film offers a Visual dMax of 4.0, a UV dMax of 3.7 and a dMin of .07.

Accurip

Accurip is fast becoming the go to RIP for producing film positives on ink jet printers. We've tested quite a few RIP's and we've found that Accurip is the most stable and easy to use RIP out there. It's extremely easy to set up and use. It has all the features of more expensive RIPS and the advantage of their multi-black feature. They offer great customer support as well.
